How direct payments work depends on whether your vet uses FetchPay™.
If your vet uses FetchPay™ – it's all handled at the counter. Your vet submits the claim, you pay your share in the app, and we pay the full treatment amount to the clinic in real-time during business hours. No reimbursement to chase, no big upfront bill to cover.
Two things you'll need to have done first:
Added your vet in the Fetch app
Completed your pet's pre-existing condition checks (so we can assess the claim on the spot)
If your vet doesn't use FetchPay™ yet – you'll generally pay the full invoice at the clinic, then submit your claim through the app. We'll reimburse your share back to your bank account once it's assessed. However for large treatments we can pay your vet directly if they are happy for us to do so. Want us to nudge your vet about getting set up? Message us in chat!
